Le Law with Squanto in the doggie stroller

When one sees a stroller, one thinks baby... Well now you can also think furry. Case in point... a rider on the Blue Line with his stroller.

There was a stroller parked in front of a the door that would open at Damen. A female passenger  looked in, smiled and made some sort of cooing sound. Thinking  nothing unusual about that, I idly daydreamed as I stood next to it. But then movement in the stroller caught my attention. I realized there was something a little different about its content.

Could that be...oh my...a dog! And Its owner was getting off at Damen.

He turned out to be Le Law, a Wicker Park musician who performs nationally but also performs locally at such places as Subterranean, Crocodile Lounge, Geisha Lounge and the Evil Olive. His furry "baby" is Squanto.

"Where in the world did you find this doggie stroller," I asked.

"My mother found it and I got it last January. It helps me commute so I don't get in trouble with any train or bus operators."

So next time you see a stroller, remember that the content maybe a furry baby!
