Business arts people help yourselves and others

By participating in a newly launched short survey from the privacy of their own computer, people doing arts business in Wicker Park or living in the neighborhood can provide information that will help themselves and the  community as a whole. Those targeted are artists, arts organizations, creatives, arts business, producers and venues.

The purpose of this data collection is to know more about the market so that resources may be better shared and promotion opportunities can be expanded across the market segments. Organized by the WPB (SSA #33) Arts Committee, the survey is being distributed to members of the creative community through the WPB website and email list serves.

The survey will take under nine minutes to complete. All individual responses to the survey are confidential and will be reviewed only by WPB Arts Committee members. The results will be aggregated, and only summary data will be included in the final report which will be sent to participants who list their contact information.

The report will be published early in the summer of 2011, providing opportunities for public discussion and debate. Survey deadline is Thurs., June 30.
