Melissa Marinaro, Intuit's temporary Program Director, is going thru some of the other bargains attired in her best find -- mink.

New and gently used women's clothing, shoes, jewelry, hats, scarves, purses and accessories from some of Chicago's finest closets will be available for sale to benefit Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art at 756 N. Milwaukee on Sat., May 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This first annual fund-raising event  was initiated by one of it's founders, Susann Craig. She confesses that in fact it is a very self-serving project.  "I am now down to five clothes racks in my closet and less jewelry hanging on my wall.  I can even see the floor of my pantry."  A former women's clothing and accessory manufacturers' representative, she explains that  "Every season I wore the new lines that I was selling and, of course, I kept it all!"

While the front of the Center may be a bit off-putting, the space and treasures that will be found beyond the big heavy steel door will be rewarding.  With bargains for all seasons, the sale items which start at $2 will average around $25 while designer pieces maybe tagged at $75 to $80. To date the piece d' resistance is a sumptuous mink fur coat which is in the three digit range.

Unsold items will be donated to various women's charities.
