Women in Focus comes to Chicago Grand with 2nd exhibition


It takes a team to hang a show. The WIF team used levels, tape, hammers and pens

The 2nd Exhibition of Women In Focus (WIF) opens Fri., Nov. 7, with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. in Space 1858, 1858 West Grand Ave., part of the Chicago Grand area.

With 14 members exhibiting a total of 27 pieces, the range of topics is fascinating. Tiny baby feet to tall buildings and the "seating" of The 606 Western Ave. bridge, built in 1910.

The photographers, who are from the City and suburbs, focus on different types and styles of photograhy including portraiture, architectural, street and artistic.

Those exhibiting in this show are: Christina McFaul, Candace Casey, Megan E. Doherty, Genevieve Lee (Ukrainian Village), Lisa Pye, Wendy Love, Diandra Entler (East Village), Barbara Calabrese, Sara Gove, Kambua Chema, Annette Nieves, Elaine Coorens (Wicker Park), Anne Evans and Michelle Gavin.

The show will be staffed on Nov. 15, 16, 22 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To access the space at any other time, please contact WIF via email.

WIF's first show was in the Chicago Photography Center (CPC), 621 W. Belmont Ave. WIF is in partnership with CPC.
