Max Hertz and John Timmins talk about the Like Bike Ride and Celebration

Open since May 2010, Bike Lane at 2130 N. Milwaukee Ave. is manning the mid-point table for the First Annual Like Bike Ride and Celebration in front of the Congress Theatre.

Max Hertz, John Timmins and Adam Glenn are the three owners who love to bike and wanted to share that with others as they build a small community business. They chose the Milwaukee Ave. location because of the huge amount of bicyclists who travel the avenue and live in the area.  "There was no other shop on Milwaukee Ave. that served this number of people so it seemed the perfect spot," Max explained.

Filling the needs of urban cyclists, they have pre built bikes and create custom bikes as well as offering repair services.

Each of the three bring different skills to their partnership. Hertz is an accountant, John worked in a bicycle shop before and Adam was a bike messenger.
