During the first Polish Triangle Market Place sponsored by the WPB (SSA #33), many shoppers were surprised and delighted to see the new farmers market venue on June 30 in the triangle of Milwaukee, Ashland and Division. Vendors indicated that business was slow but feel that it will build over the next several weeks.

For locally-grown fruits, vegetables and meats as well as rummage sale and music entertainment there is no better place than the Logan Square Farmers Market^TM.

Starting in late June there will be a new weekly "farmers" market in the Polish Triangle at Division, Milwaukee and Ashland called the Polish Triangle Market Place. "Our goal is to have about ten vendors selling a variety of items that would be great to take home for dinner," explained Eleanor Mayer, Program Director of the WPB (SSA #33).

Alderman Joe Moreno, 1st Ward, extended the Farmers Market in Wicker Park to cover the celebration of Halloween.

Though he has not been around since 1776, Nicholas (Nick)  Spencer, a Brit, has come to Wicker Park's Farmers Market and brought bangers and rashers as well as his wife Connie, a Chicagoan. 

Father's Day in the United States celebrates it's 100th birthday on June 20,2010.  One of the estimated 67.8 million celebrants is Patrick Mark, Iron Creek Farm, a Wicker Park Farmers Market vendor.  In fact he is celebrating two centennials this year.

With a 10 a.m. opening Pastry Market in the Logan Square Kitchen the day before Valentines Day, all the vendors were sold out by 12:30 according to Tinycakes’ Stephanie Merello.

At one point Zina Murray, Logan Square Kitchen owner, was regulating entrance at the front door to avoid exceeding fire regulations.
