It takes more than one day per year to take care of the earth. But many participants at the 2018 Earth Day event in Humboldt Park believe that Earth Day activities can help cultivate a year-round and lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship and community-building.

Humboldt Park will be part of Chicago's Earth Day activities for the 29th year. Clean-up will start at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 21, at the Humboldt Park Boathouse, 1301 N. Sacramento.

The 2nd Annual Green Music Fest is about to be a reality on June 26 & 27 on Chicago Ave. between Ashland and Noble from noon to 10 p.m. each day. The Green Family Fun Fest is between noon and 5 p.m. each day. Local retailers, art and craft vendors, plus a green vendor village will add to the music and beer venues.
