In their efforts to encourage responsible driving behavior and abide by the "don't drink and drive" concept, the Chicago Police Department has  a DUI (driving under the influence) Strike Force Patrol. The Patrol will be in the 14th (Shakespeare) District between 8 p.m. on Sat., May 5 and 4 a.m., Sun., May 6.

About the Crime
Citizens have been approached while on the street, and their property taken by force. This is the second such report in a week in this area. See previous posting here.

Incident times and locations are listed below:

At approximately 3:50 a.m., Sun., Apr. 8, gunshots rang out at the BP gas station at North and Elston.

In recognition of April being National Child Abuse Prevention Month, the 13th Police District's CAPS office reached out to local schools with the challenge of creating art work that depicted "A happy family is."

More than $500,000 worth of recovered items from robberies on Chicago's north side may be reclaimed between Mon., Mar. 26 and Sat., Mar. 31, in Town Hall, 19th District lobby, 850 W. Addison.

"Bail set at $75,000.00 for Lockett. Next court date is Mar. 8 at Branch 50, Grand & Central. Either it will be a preliminary hearing or the ASA will have had it taken to the Grand Jury for an indictment," report Joe Kopera.

Charged with one count of Robbery, the two offenders are Travion Lockett, 17, from the 2200 block of W. Maypole, and a 16-year-old juvenile.
