Big trucks made one little boy's day

As the massive diggers were gouging the earth in the 1600 block of N. Damen early this morning, one little boy was a very happy camper.

According to Preston Green's nanny Lindsey Clark, "He loves trucks! This will make his day." Clark was referring to the big and little diggers working on the lot that served as a parking lot for the bank building across the street (formerly the Mid-West Bank).

For the last couple of years there have been several proposals about what was to be built on that property.

 

The current plan is that a one story retail structure will be built. Built to the existing zoning code, needing no zoning change, this development falls under the "build to right" construction.
