The Chicago Anarchist Film Festival Collective (CAFF) held its 11th Annual Chicago Anarachist Film Festival in the Wicker Park Art Center on May 13-15. Thirteen films ran between three minutes to 120 minutes.

Their feature films included: "Chicago Conspiracy"; "Occupation Has No Future" with an introduction by Sarah Lazare; "Ciclovida."

Films are selected by a review process that includes having two members do a written review, followed by the Collective discussing it, ending up with a final selection. According to Logan Square's Charlie Egan who is one of about ten people on the festival committee, "Films this year are primarily current. The point of the festival is to have a forum for radical films and films that highlight social issues that we are passionate about."

Tracy Rosen added, "While we charge people to see the films, that is just to cover our expenses. The festival is to provide a forum for to get people who do not know about anarchism to know a little more about it and for anarchists to have a collective group where they can gather and reaffirm their beliefs."

Looking toward the next one, Fancy Banberg said, "Hopefully we start planning soon." As the rest laughingly agreed. The current group are new to the organizing part of the organization and obviously have learned from their first experience. They are pleased with the results of their work, however.

Egan became involved in the group thru friends as did Rosen who recently came back from Greece and was looking to find other anarchists in the area.
