Magic Boat Puppet Theatre was a great success in its maiden voyage in the Wicker Park Playground on May 8 and will be back on May 22. A bee, butterfly, a fish, a crow, Abbott the Rabbit, Bear, Captain Gown and a boat load of children of all ages were participating in the first of a series of puppet show and dance event.

In this case, the pictures below say it all.  To start the slide show, click on any picture. Enjoy!

Remember that the Magic Boat will sail back in to Wicker Park at 11 a.m. on the following Sunday mornings: May 22; June 12, 19; July 3, 17, 31; and Aug.14.

Bear and Rabbit are telling the fish a scary story about how bears eat fish All ages are "captured" by the Boat Crew Listening to every word...almost "Got to get closer" "I'm ok in here but curious" "I'm cool and this is fun" "OK...everybody clap...everybody jump...everybody dance..." It is movement time "Hey, do it this way!" "This is fun, I like making faces!" "Persona...attidute to be a dude" "Really?" "Twist...swing" Butterfly talk Private time with a butterfly "You want me to tell you what? ah....hmmm" Singing together is good
