"Hey Pig, want to play?"

Wicker Park was loaded with many scenes on Sunday. People were sitting on benches, in the grass and just strolling about. The Farmers market was bustling with several new vendors. The playground area was filled with kids and adults. Tours where educating visitors.

"Hey, what is with this pig thing?"

But my favorite scene was the one with two dogs and a pig*.

While the dog was all for playing, the pig was not convinced. But the dog's friend was a bit put out by the interchange! The "offender" seemed to have some remorse. I mean...bow wow.

The Butterfly and Bee were recruiting dancers as their friends remained on stage

Elsewhere, the Magic Boat Puppet show was tickling the fancy of kids and parents alike. They will be back on June 19; July 3, 17, 31; and Aug.14.

The Bee and the Butterfly were there to get everyone moving and dancing.

The Cultural Landscape Foundations tours of the Chicago Park Districts West Parks on Suday included Wicker Park.

Whereas there were few who came thru on the tours, materials were distributed about many Wicker Park upcoming events.

*Full disclosure: The pig was a statue that was a marketing "hook" by a vendor who sells meat and fish.
