You might have guessed that the last day of Wicker Park Fest on Sunday would've been slower than Saturday, but you'd be wrong! Sunday drew hundreds and hundreds of festival-goers, with the biggest incentive to attend being the dozens of performances throughout the day.

The two big acts on Sunday night were Murder by Death and Blitzen Trapper, both were slated to perform later in the evening (7:30 and 9 p.m). Either of these bands could easily pack any Chicago venue, and evidently the chance to see them for a "suggested donation" of just $5 was not to be missed.

The lovely weather was also a contributing factor for the masses of people who decided to attend the fest on Sunday. It was perfect beer and sangria weather, and plenty of both were sold that evening. Local businesses and vendors had their booths set up in the middle of Milwaukee Avenue and there were a variety of goods being offered, from stylish clothing for infants to Vespa scooters and everything in between.

Overall, Wicker Park Fest seemed like a tremendous success this year. The only drawback was how popular it was; the crowds were overwhelming and at times getting from one side of Milwaukee to the other was next to impossible. There were three stages spaced evenly from one end of the fest to the other, creating masses of spectators to wade through at both main entrances to the fest and directly in the middle. Wicker Park Fest has grown in size and popularity each year, and it looks like this year's festival was one of the most successful yet.
