Intuit: Bundling Against the Cold: Fabric Sculpture Workshop

in
Saturday, February 19, 2011 - 1:00pm
Art has the power to transform adversity into extraordinary artistic vision. In this workshop, led by Lindsay Obermeyer, we will learn how our dreams for a better future can be realized through art-making by selecting something from our personal experiences that we would like to change. These experiences can be extrapolated from personal or public histories. Writing them on pebbles, we'll use bottle caps, yarn and fabric to wrap these dreams and create various patterns that are personally meaningful. Learning from these individual bundles of hope, we will also form a collective fabric-made abstract sculpture, illustrating that together we can change the world. The workshop is open to the public, but space is limited! Please register by Monday, February 14.

Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art, 756 N. Milwaukee Ave.
