Training on LSCs and School Budgets

Are you satisfied with your local school? Do you want to know how your public school is run? Do you want to know how much money is being spent on your child's education? Get involved and become a Watchdog of Education!

The Better Government Association will be hosting a training on public school issues in the Avondale neighborhood on Monday, February 27th starting at 6:30 p.m. This training is free and open to the public.

BGA Citizen Watchdogs of Education training teaches parents and community members how to become more involved in keeping an eye on their Chicago Public Schools. Attendees will learn: -how to attend and participate in Local School Council meetings -the roles and responsibilities of LSCs -how to obtain and understand individual school budgets -a general understanding of CPS' financial operations
