Art Exhibit: Heirloom Treasures of Roxolana Skobelska Pomeroy at the Ukrainian National Museum. Continues through Jan. 28.

The exhibition of classical art is dedicated to the memory of Roxolana Skobleska Pomeroy, the great granddaughter of the famous Galician poet, writer, and public figure, Father Mykola Ustyianowycz.

For the first time in Chicago, we are exhibiting works by Ukrainian artists from the second half of the XIX century. The exhibit features Kornylo Ustyianowycz, the founder of The National School of Painting in Western Ukraine, along with Volodymyr Kozakewycz, Mykhailo Moroz, and Bukovyna artist and ethnographer Augusta Kochanowska, masters of European schools of painting. These treasures of the artistic family's collection have settled in the Ukrainian National Museum of Chicago.

Exhibit made possible by the Pomeroy Portrait Trust John Havelock, Trustee. Exhibit sponsored by MB Financial
