Ukrainian National Museum "Apostle of Peace" Exhibit Opening

Celebrating the 150th anniversary of Metropolitan (Archbishop) Andrey Sheptytsky's birth, the Ukranian National Museum is unveiling an exhibit called "Apostle of Peace".

It honors Sheptytsky's contributions to the Roman Catholic and Ukrainian Greek Catholic Churches, his philanthropic accomplishments for youth and the arts in Ukraine, and his humanitarian deeds sheltering those sought out by Nazi persecutors. Efforts are underway to canonize Sheptytsky for his extraordinary deeds.

The opening of "Apostle of Peace" is on Friday, July 17th at 7:00 p.m., a reception will follow. Admission to the exhibit is $10.00 and will be on display through August 20th, 2015.
