Superpowers of Powers were at work in Wicker Park until early morning

Trucks lined the steamy streets of Milwaukee, Damen, Pierce and Wicker Park Avenues from Thursday afternoon until the early hours of Friday as footage began rolling for a Fox pilot TV comic series named Powers.

Powers focuses on two police detectives in a world where superpowers are somewhat common place. Charles H. Eglee has written the pilot based on Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming's original comic book. Jason Patric and Lucy Punch have the starring roles of Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim.

Most recently, Patric garnered attention in the movie world for his part in The Losers and Punch for her role in Bad Teacher.
