The real vibrant areas of Chicago are in vastly different neighborhoods such as Wicker Park, Pilsen and Bronzeville. In the 1800 West block of Haddon Ave., two teen-age burglars, one male and one female Black, were found in a man's home. They fled outside towards another group of individuals standing outside the home with an adult Black male, holding a shovel. Upon meeting up on the sidewalk, all offenders fled westbound on Haddon Ave. |
Community Challenge: Aid fulfilling 2012 activities plan for Wicker Park

During an 80-minute special Wicker Park Advisory Council (WPAC) meeting, 20 participants set a 2012 activities plan. The challenge is to finalize the plans and line up funding and volunteers. |

Chicago's Ethics Reform Task Force public hearings scheduled
Public hearings for Chicago's Ethics Reform Task Force are scheduled for Feb. 13 and Mar. 12, according to its chair, Cynthia Canary, the founder of the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform. The exact times and locations are to be available within the next week.
