Flags at half-staff on Friday

In remembrance of the 50th Anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on Fri., Nov. 20, from sunrise to sunset, Governor Patrick Quinn has asked that all United States and State of Illinois flags on premises covered by the Illinois Flag Display Act be flown at half-staff.

Quinn also encouraged everyone to reflect on the legacy of President Kennedy with a moment of silence at 1 p.m. on Friday.
