Churchill Field Park

Churchill Field Park, located at 2007 W. Churchill Street is used as a junior baseball field.  There is also a green, dog-friendly area inside this park that is in development and will hopefully be completed by 2011. It will include new surface materials, solar lighting on the south wall, new landscaping and plenty of water fountains. There is also a south wall that was recently whitewashed and will soon be painted with a brand new mural.

In 1976, the junior baseball field was upgraded and bleachers were installed.  Trees were also planted to buffer street traffic and noise from the elevated tracks. In 1991, it was officially named Churchill Field Park by the Near Northwest Neighborhood Network, referencing the property's former owner (Churchill Cabinet Company) and Churchill Street.
