Armed robber caught in Ukrainian Village area thanks to resident and police working together in the 13th Police District

11/10/2011 Similar to a string of armed robberies of elderly residents in the Ukrainian Village area, this morning a man in his seventy to eighties was robbed by an offender at gunpoint.
Officers, on foot. were in pursuit of offender when a resident spotted and recognized the 13th District undercover police officers. Working together, the resident and police located the offender and the officers made an arrest.
According to a report in the Chicago Tribune, the offender is twenty-two and he took $27 from the victim.
