Humboldt Park man charged with murder of woman found in forest preserve

Justino Correa, 19, from the 1000 block of N. Richmond in Humboldt Park, was charged with First Degree Murder and concealing a homicidal death, according to the Chicago Police Department on Fri. Oct. 11. 

In the investigation by Area Central detectives of the human remains found in the forest preserve at 8100 W. Chicago on Oct. 10, they questioned Correa. They learned that a verbal altercation he had with a 20-year-old woman turned physical and fatal. 

On Oct. 11, the Cook County Medical Examiner concluded that the cause and manner of death was multiple stab and incised wounds - Homicide. The body had been placed in a plastic bin and transported to the forest preserve. 

Correa was placed in custody after he admitted his role in the homicide to Area Central detectives. He is scheduled in bond court on Sat., Oct. 12.
