Lone robber hit North Community Bank Friday

08/21/2010 A lone robber hit the North Community Bank at Milwaukee and Damen on Friday morning. The accused offender was taken into custody between 11:30 a.m. and noon, shortly after the robbery.
According to the Chicago Police Department, a gun was "implied." Bank employees were able to place a dye pack in with the money given the robber. The exploding dye pack led to the capture of the offender, according to an WLS (abc) report .
As bank robberies fall under jurisdiction of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), that agency has more details but are unavailable for comment at this time.
