Police Alert: Wanted for armed robberies in the 13th District

Offender wanted for two armed robberies and one attempted armed robbery. He approaches a person and demands their property.

Incidents to date: Nov. 15 in the 1400 block of W. Chicago Ave. at approximately 5:19 p.m., the second shortly after at 6:47 p.m. in the 1800 block of N. Western Ave. On Oct. 5, he attempted an armed robbery in the 1900 block of W. Chicago Ave.

• Male 45-50 years of age
• Hispanic, 5' 6" in height and 200 pounds
• Wears one glove
• Carries hand gun
• Rides a bicycle

What you can do

• Report any suspicious people loitering near your home to the police.
• Be aware of this situation and alert neighbors in the area about this crime.
• Try to travel in groups at night or have a family member or friend meet and escort you to your destination.
• Make sure your surveillance system and exterior lights are working properly.
