A 22 year-old rideshare driver, responding to a potential customer, was stabbed at 8:20 p.m. on Jan. 12 in the 2700 block of N. Sacramento in Logan Square.

According to the Chicago Police Department's report, the unknown offender had requested the wrong ride share service and became irritated. The driver pulled over to cancel the ride when the offender struck him in the head.

The offender exited the vehicle, opened the driver's door, showed his knife and stabbed the driver on the left side of his ear.

Taken in good condition to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, 1969 Ogden Ave., the driver had a minor laceration.
