Shots fired on Milwaukee Ave. in early morning

An off-duty Chicago police officer in the 1300 north block of Milwaukee Ave. at approximately 3:48 a.m., Sat., Nov. 5,  drew his weapon after observing occupants in a car fire shots at people on the sidewalk.

Three males were injured. One was taken to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center and the other two were transported to Stroger Hospital. According to Police Officer Mirabelli, details are still unfolding as the investigation progresses.

According to the Chicago Tribune, "The officer fired in the direction of the shooter and and someone from inside the car later turned up at Stroger with a gunshot wound, but it's not yet clear if that person's wound was caused by the officer."
