Two Chicago Ave. looters charged

Two looters who hit businesses during the 2400 block of W. Chicago Ave. looting spree on Aug. 10 have been charged with felonies, according to the Chicago Police Department (CPD). Both are in jail. 

On Aug. 16 in the 2400 block of W. Chicago where the looting occurred on Aug. 10, CPD officers found Lovely Howard with some of the stolen merchandise. She was placed into custody without incidence. 

The CPD officers were able to return the items to the business that had been looted. 

Howard is facing two felony charges for Theft/Stolen/ >$500<10K. She is incarcerated on a $10,000 bond with her next court date in Skokie on Aug. 24.


Jarvell Davis

Jarvell Davis, 21, of 8200 block of S. Throop St., was also part of the Aug. 10 looting spree in the 2400 block of W. Chicago Ave. He was identified on Aug. 16 as one of the looters. Merchandise stolen on the 10th was in his possession. 

After placing Davis under arrest, without incident, he was charged with four felonies. Two are for Theft/Stolen/ >$500<10K. Another is for Looting by Individual and the fourth is for Burglary. 

Davis was denied bond and is also scheduled for an Aug. 24 court date in Skokie.
