LaSalle II Magnet Elementary School

LaSalle II is a magnet elementary school located at 1148 N. Honore St., phone is 773.534.0409. It is a replication school, designed to emulate the successful program offered at the LaSalle Language Academy.  Offering students the opportunity to acquire proficiency in Chinese, Spanish, Arabic and Urdu other languages will be added as the school grows.

The program began in September 2008 and has expanded through sixth grade for the 2009-10 school year. Covering from Pre K, additional grades will be added each year until the school serves up to eighth grade.

“The new magnet schools allow parents in the various communities to have more options as to the type of school their children attend,” said Michelle Frazier, grants manager for the CPS Office of Academic Enhancement, “These schools extend the types of curriculum that are offered and allow parents to find the best educational fit for their child based on interest.”
