Blue Line service changes August 7-11

There may be delays on the Blue Line overnight until Aug. 11, according to the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). They advise to allow extra travel time.

Boarding change between Cumberland and Jefferson Park

Mon., Aug. 7, 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., Tues., Aug. 8

Boarding and exiting all trains on the O'Hare-bound side of the platform at the Harlem (O'Hare branch).

Service is affected due to construction on the Kennedy Expressway.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Cumberland and Jefferson Park.  

Boarding change between Western (Forest Park branch) and UIC-Halsted

Tues., Aug. 8, to Thurs., Aug.10 nightly from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Boarding and exiting all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Racine and Illinois Medical District stations.

The construction work is to improve the Illinois Medical District station as well as for track maintenance.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Western (Forest Park branch) and UIC-Halsted.
