Blue Line service changes through January 31

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) advises that there may be service delays on the Blue Line until through Jan. 31. 

Allow for extra travel time. 

Boarding Change Between California and Irving Park

Fri., Jan. 26, 10 p.m. Sat, Jan. 27, 4 a.m.
Board and exit trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Belmont and Addison stations.

Sat, Jan. 27, 1 a.m. to 4 a.m.
Board and exit trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Logan Square station.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between California and Irving Park.

Track maintenance is the reason for these possible delays. 

Boarding changes between Western (Forest Park branch) and UIC-Halsted

Sun., Jan. 28, between 5 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Board and exit trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Illinois Medical District and  Racine stations. 

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Western (Forest Park branch) and UIC-Halsted.

Cause of these changes is construction to improve the Illinois Medical District station. 

Boarding changes between Damen and Clark/Lake

Tues., Jan. 30, 11 p.m. to Wed., Jan. 31, 4 a.m.

Board and exit trains on the O’Hare-bound side of the platform at the Division, Chicago and Grand stations. 

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Damen and Clark/Lake.

Cause of these changes is ongoing maintenance to ensure safety.
