Blue Line service changes thru July 7

Added holiday service and maintenance service changes will be going on for the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). As a result there may be travel delays thru July 7. 

For the holiday on July 4, the CTA is increasing the capacity along the Blue Line with longer trains between Forest Park and O’Hare from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. 

Boarding change between Illinois Medical District and Kedzie-Homan

Mon., July 3, 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., Tues., July 4
Wed., July 5, 11 p.m. to 4 a.m., Thurs., July 6

 

Boarding and exiting all trains on the O'Hare-bound side of the platform at the Western (Forest Park branch) station.

The work is regular safety maintenance.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Illinois Medical District and Kedzie-Homan.  

Boarding change between UIC-Halsted and Westen (Forest Park branch)

Thurs., July 6, 11 p.m. to 4 a.m., Fri.

Boarding and exiting all trains on the O'Hare-bound side of the platform at the Racine and Illinois Medical District stations.

The work is being done to improve the Illinois Medical District station.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between UIC-Halsted and Western (Forest Park branch).
