CTA Blue Line possible delays through October 16

Maintenance along the Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) Blue Line train tracks may cause service delays through Oct. 16, according to a CTA advisory. Thus, allow for extra travel time. 

Boarding changes between UIC-Halsted and Western (Forest Park branch) 

From 10 p.m., Fri., Oct. 13 to 5 a.m., Sat. Oct. 14

Board and exit trains on the O'Hare-bound side of the platform at the Racine and Illinois Medical District stations. 

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between UIC-Halsted and Western (Forest Park branch).

Construction to improve the Illinois Medical District station is the cause for this alert. 

Delays between Rosemont and O'Hare

From 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sat. Oct. 14

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Rosemont and O'Hare.

Maintenance  to ensure that trains continue to operate safely is the reason for this work. 

Boarding changes between Austin and Harlem (Forest Park branch) 

From 11 p.m., Sun., Oct. 15 to 4 a.m., Mon. Oct. 16

Board and exit trains on the O'Hare-bound side of the platform at the Oak Park station. 

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Austin and Harlem (Forest Park branch).

Maintenance  to ensure that trains continue to operate safely is the reason for this work.
