CTA has special New Year's Eve service schedules
While bus and rail service will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Mon., Jan. 1, 2018, the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) announces specific rail and bus announcement for New Year's Eve.
Blue Line
Trains will operate from Forest Park and O’Hare every 10 minutes from 12 midnight to 1:30 a.m., and every 15 minutes from 1:30 a.m. to 3 a.m. Longer trains will operate from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Buses
More frequent service will be available.
#65 Grand: The last westbound trip will depart from Navy Pier at 3 a.m. The last eastbound trip will depart from Grand/Nordica at 1:30 a.m.
#66 Chicago: The last westbound trip will depart from Navy Pier at 3 a.m. The last eastbound trip will depart from Chicago/Austin at 1:30 a.m. Note: Owl service operates all night between Chicago/Pulaski and Washington/State.
Temporary Reroutes
Will be due to the Navy Pier New Year’s Eve Fireworks event.
Eastbound #65 Grand and #66 Chicago, buses will operate via Illinois and Streeter to Grand, ending their trips at Grand/Streeter. Buses will not enter the Navy Pier Terminal.
