CTA service changes affect several lines

CTA service lines cut service beginning February 7.  The cuts are for both rail and bus lines.

According to the CTA announcement, the hours and days of service are unchanged for the rail Red. Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink and Brown lines will be unchanged but they will run less frequently.

Bus service falls into three types of cuts.  The first is elimination of service while another is revised service hours meaning that service will start later and/or end earlier.  The last is less frequent service.

There are two eliminations of service in our area.  They are the X9 Ashland Express and theX49 Western Express.

Revised service will occur on 50-Damen, 56-Milwaukee, 70-Division, 72-North, 74-Fullerton and 76-Diversey.

Frequency cuts will be on 9-Ashland,50-Damen, 56-Milwaukee, 65-Grand, 66-Chicago, 70-Division, 72-North, 73-Armitage, 74-Fullerton and 76-Diversey.
