Safety Action: Positive loitering at Western and Armitage on Thurs. July 22

Everyone is requested to join 1st Ward Alderman Proco "Joe" Moreno and 32nd Ward Scott Waguespack as police officers do a roll call at Western, Armitage and Wlmot at 6:30 p.m. on Thurs., July 22.  This is a positive community action in support of neighbors in the area where there has been a rash of criminal activities.

The aldermen's requests are to show up, walk and talk with them, police and neighbors for a short period of time.

Actions like this have been known to successfully send a message to those who want to infect neighborhoods with criminal activity. The message is "You're not welcome here!  Move on!"
