Is there anything more purrrrfect then hearing tales from a cat's diary? Of course not!

The The Cat Diaries: Stories of the Feline Kind & Other Pet Tales is happening on Mar. 5 from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Haymarket Pub & Brewery, 737 W. Randolph St.

This is a benefit for Harmony House For Cats, the no-kill, cageless, eco-friendly cat shelter at 2914 N. Elston Ave.

Tickets are $20 admission or two for $30. Aside from feeling great for being kind to kitties, it includes the 90-minute show of storytelling, readings and comedy about cats and other pets; one drink (beer or wine); and a raffle ticket! For advance tickets, go to this website.

If you can not make the event but want to adopt, volunteer or check them out before you donate, their hours are Wednesday and Thursday 2 to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
