Change those batteries and fall back!

Ready for more morning sunlight? That starts Sunday, Nov. 4!

Saturday, Nov. 3, is the time to check your smoke detectors, replacing batteries and turning all your clocks back one hour for the official change at Sun., Nov. 4, 2 a.m.

The longest days this year were June 20 and 21 with 15:13:39 hours and last winter's shortest was Dec. 21, 2017 with 09:07:46 hours of daylight.

That should mean that before 2019 makes its appearance, days will be getting longer as we push through winter to spring 2019!

Looking forward to that, the photo below is a chalked message on the side of a building in Wicker Park.
