Longevity became theme at Logan Square and Wicker Park Bucktown chambers mixer

Pamela Maas and Jessica Wobbekind turned giveaways into homage for successful businesses

Two Chamber of Commerce executive directors, Logan Square's (LSCC), Jessica Wobbekind, and Wicker Park Buctown's (WPBCC), Pamela Maas, were on stage at Rosa's Lounge, 3420 W. Armitage, on Aug. 14 for a combined social mixer that challenged attendees knowledge and turned into a theme of business longevity.

Caleb Jennings: "Have you been to Rosza's before?"

An evening of fun and laughter in Rosa's officially began when LSCC Board Secretary Caleb Jennings, Kambs-Jennings Compass Mortgage, asked, "Who is here for the first time?"

Approximately half the people in the room raised their hand.

"Rosa's has been an institution here for over 35 years," said Jennings, "and the only way it is going to stay here is if you keep coming back!"

The entire room cheered.

"Who is having their one year anniversary tonight," queried Wobbekind for a prize.

"Tricycle," replied someone in the back of the room.

Tricycle, 1700 N. Damen, a member of the WPBCC, supplied the event with sloppy joe's and mac 'n cheese that had everyone licking their lips.

Nancy McClelland captures the moment as Lori Hammer enjoys it all

While Tricycle owner, Rivak “Rocky” Albazi, is celebrating his first year with Tricycle, his tenure at that location goes back to approximately 1996. He was co-owner with Cynthia Oldham in the former Silver Cloud restaurant which closed in August 2014.

Two other prize winners who both said, "I love Logan Square!" also showed that being a local business owner can be a long term successful experience.
