With a passion for diminutives, colors and jigsaw shapes, Nicholas Sistler teases the eye in a new exhibition, JUMBO, which opened Fri., Oct. 4, in The Dime, 1513 N. Western Ave. In Wicker Park, the show continues through Oct. 28. 

Chicago Police Department's (CPD) 12th and 14th Districts are hosting neighbors for an evening of events, food, music and fun for all ages on Tues., Aug. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. It is FREE! 

The last three free WPB SSA #33 dates of recycling are July 13 and Sept. 14 at Burr Elementary School, 1621 W. Wabansia, and Sat., Oct. 12, at A.N. Pritzker Elementary School, 2020 W. Evergreen. Time for all the shredding and e-recycling events is from 10 a.m. until noon. 

The combo of entertainment and vendors at the Tuesdays at the Triangle returns to the CTA transportation hub at Milwaukee, Division and Ashland Avenues on June 4, from 4 to 8 p.m., for the seventh season, produced by the Polish Triangle Coalition (PTC). 

While many community members participated with Chicago Police Department's 12th and 14th Districts community cafes a couple of weeks ago, now more can participate. Next week both districts are having the second round in the creation of the District Policing Strategic Plans. 

With the temperatures being predicted to rise, it is still hard to believe that we leap forward into daylight saving time on Sunday, March 10 at 2 a.m. 

In its sixth year, Tuesdays at the Triangle is going beyond delivering two hours of free entertainment in the Polish Triangle each Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. through August 28. At the inaugural evening Tuesday, June 5, two new food vendors will offer tamales and pizza and more vendors will be coming on board in following weeks. 

Organic vegetable starts and herbs, annual flowers as well as native perennial flowers and grasses are the "best in show" of the Annual Paseo Prairie Garden Plant Sale this weekend, May 12 and 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2614 N. Kedzie, by Logan Square's Blue Line entrance.

Earth Day clean-up activities are going to be engaging at least a couple of thousand volunteers throughout Chicago's near northwest side on Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22.
