Fire does not close Roberto Clemente in Ukrainian Village

The Chicago Fire Department (CFD) responded to a 2:15 a.m. call this morning at Roberto Clemente Community Academy, corner of Division and Western, in Ukrainian Village.

Struck in 30 minutes, the fire was confined to an electric panel in the schools sub basement, producing light smoke, according to CPD Media. There were no transports and no one was injured.

Michael Passman, a school district spokesperson, told the Chicago Tribune that there “was minimal damage to a basement area that students do not access.”
