Although all signs pointed to rain, DeHurricane Band decided to play at this weeks Tuesdays at the Triangle from 6 to 8 p.m., Aug. 18.

deHurricane Band is coming for this weeks upcoming Tuesdays at the Triangle. They’ll be performing on August 17th, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Chicago Public Schools started off the 2015 fiscal year with $6.4 million in outstanding debt. When Rauner announced his plan to implement $106 million budget cuts for CPS in July of this summer, the city went into a frenzy of planning, trying to find a way to avoid such a budget crisis.

Matt Ulery’s Loom, jazz quintet, will be weaving music for this weeks event as part of Tuesdays at the Triangle, a local event hosted by the Polish Triangle Coalition. The event will be held on August 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. where Milwaukee, Division and Ashland intersect.

Almost 3,000 people settled with their picnic baskets, children and dogs in Wicker Park this past Thursday for the Movie in the Park, Hook which was funded by the local favorite. The Magic Boat Puppet theater sailed into Wicker Park before Hook, however, to the delight of all ages of puppet lovers.

Teeming with Wicker Park Fest goers from Paulina to North Ave., Milwaukee Ave. was bustling with activity despite the unrelenting heat. Hundreds of people roamed from booth to booth looking for one of a kind tees, jewelry, unique finds, delicious funnel cakes, aromatic candles and craft beers.

The night was calm as the group of poets slowly began gathering in the Polish Triangle this past Tuesday. It was Latino Poet night at a local event called Tuesdays at the Triangle.

OTH Radio Theater is kicking off tomorrow's Tuesdays at the Triangle at 6 p.m. in the Polish Triangle at Milwaukee/Division and Ashland. The second hour will be a plethora of poets.

Opening tomorrow is the Ukrainian National Museum’s new exhibit called “Apostle of Peace.” The exhibit is being held to celebrate the 150th birthday of Metropolitan (Archbishop) Andrey Sheptytsky. The exhibit will include portraits and other various artifacts from Sheptytsky’s life.
