COVID-19 hitting Chicago Police Department

There are now 239 confirmed cases of COVID-19 within the Chicago Police Department (CPD), they announced today. There are another 85 unconfirmed cases.

Sworn officers account for 230 of those cases. The other nine are civilian members of CPD.

HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations do not allow headquarters or district offices to disclose information about those infected.

Our Urban Times has learned that among those confirmed are people from both the 12th and 14th Districts. It is believed that none of them are hospitalized.

Be great to say thanks to each officer you see!
