There were four victims in the series of actions by three offenders around Dickerson's murder at 5900 S. Kedzie Blvd. Dickerson was Victim 1, an 18-year-old male was Victim 2, a 21-year-old male was Victim 3 and an 18-year-old  male was Victim 4.

Two of three offenders have been arrested and charged. Bryant Mitchell, 23, and Marco Zabala, 24, have both been charged with one Felony Count of First Degree Murder and three Felony Counts of Attempt First Degree Murder. Each was declared to have No Bond, in Bond Court. They are scheduled for their next hearings on May 22 and 24 respectively, in Room 101 at noon, the Criminal Court Building at 26th and California.

Videos from multiple locations aided the police in putting together the details of the evening as described in the Bond Court Proffer from the Cook County State's Attorney's office.

Mitchell and Zabala, wearing distinctive clothing walked into a restaurant at 5489 S Kedzie, had a conversation with some customers and left with a third person. They walked west across Kedzie.

Victims 2, 3 and 4, in a sedan drove into the strip mall where the restaurant was and parked. Another person walked up to the sedan and had a conversation with the occupants. Victim 3 sold the unknown person some cannabis.

Mitchell, Zabala and the third offender walked back across Kedzie toward the sedan. Mitchell falsely flashed the Latin King gang sign to those in the sedan. The sedan pulls out of the parking lot and goes around the block. The three offenders go to the alley and observe the sedan circle the block.

As the sedan reaches Troy and 59th St., the offenders run south on Troy towards 59th. Then Zabala runs to 59th St. building where his girlfriend lives. He is picked up again on the video heading back to Mitchell and the 3rd offender. Zabala is seen passing something to Mitchell*.

All three offenders run onto 59th toward the sedan with Victims 2, 3 and 4 in it. Mitchell is seen cinching his hoodie tightly around his face. He pointed a gun towards Kedzie as he stands on 59th and he began firing into the sedan. Zabala stands nearby, near the east corner of 59th and Troy, watching Mitchell shoot four times.

While the offenders were stalking Victims 2, 3 and 4, Dickerson was in the Metro PCS store at 59th and Kedzie, standing by the counter as her two youngest sons were seated nearby.

One of Mitchell's shots hit the back of the sedan, shattering its rear glass window, two more hit the back of an ambulance and the 4th ripped through Metro PCS's striking Dickerson in the head.

Her two sons and two store employees tried to provide aid but nothing could be done. She was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

*After the Mitchell's arrest, he made a statement on video that was that Zabala grabbed the gun and gave it to him. Mitchell also said that Zabala sold the gun after the shooting.
