Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS) was established in 1994 across all 25 city police districts. A partnership between the police and the community, regular meetings are held for each Beat within each district.
Meetings give community and police personnel an opportunity to know each other and work together. Information is exchanged and problems are identified so that together, solutions may be worked on.
