UPDATE: Ehrler changed its date to April 27!

As part of the Ehrler Park, 2230 W. Cortland St. cleanup from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sat., Apr. 6, cleaner-uppers are being encouraged to "chalk bomb" the sidewalks with fun notes and inspirational words.

Check in at the park will include picking up supplies including a waste bag, gloves and chalk. In case Mother Nature objects, the rain date is Sat., Apr. 13.

Incentivizing additional activities are part of the Ehrler Park experience, check it out here

With the official Earth Day on Mon. Apr. 22., the area around the Bucktown-Wicker Park Library, 1701 N. Milwaukee Ave. and the Churchill Field and Dog Park will be in need of neighbors working their clean up magic from 9 a.m. to noon on Sat., Apr. 27.

Weeding and planting will to what is happening behind the Library, Hoyne and St. Paul Avenues. While they will have some tools for sharing, organizers ask that people bring their own trowels, rakes and gloves, if they have them. These activities are rain or shine so layered clothing is advised.

In the Churchill Field and Dog Park, picking up trash, adding much around trees, evening out the gravel pits, cleaning around the fences and power washing the dog park will be the activities for participants
