Blue Line Division Street station has service changes thru Nov. 8

With Your New Blue construction activity occurring at the Blue Line's Division station, the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) recommends allowing extra travel time from 10 p.m., Fri., Oct. 18, to 10 p.m., Fri., Nov. 8.

There are two different sets of instructions:

Fri., Oct. 18, 10:00 Mon., Oct. 21, 4:00 a.m.

    • The station will be temporarily closed.
    • CTA suggests travelers use the adjacent stations at Damen or Chicago.
    • A free bus shuttle will operate between the Division and Chicago stations.
    • #56 Milwaukee buses are also available as alternate service to reach Damen or Chicago stations, downtown, or other destinations along the Blue Line.

Mon., Oct. 21, 4 a.m. to Fri., Nov. 8, 10 p.m.

Trains to Forest Park will not stop at Division. The southbound platform will be closed.

    • Use the Chicago station where trains in both direction will stop
    • From Division, board an O'Hare-bound train to Damen and transfer to a Forest Park-bound train*
    • To Division, stay on a Forest Park-bound train to Chicago and transfer to an O'Hare-bound train.

Weekday mornings, avoid crowding at the Damen station:

A free shuttle bus will run weekdays, 7 to 9:30 a.m., from Division to Chicago, for easier connections toward downtown and Forest Park.

#56 Milwaukee buses also connect with both adjacent stations, where Blue Line trains will stop in both directions and #9 Ashland and #X9 Ashland Express buses connect with Green and Pink Line trains with service to/from downtown at Ashland station (at Lake St).
