Blue Line service changes and temporary station closure this weekend


There will be a temporary closure of the Chicago Blue Line station and boarding changes over this upcoming weekend, according to the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA).

Riders are encouraged to allow for extra travel time.

Chicago Blue Line Station will be temporarily closed

From Fri, Jan. 3 at 10 p.m. to Mon., Jan. 6 at 4 a.m. 

Please use the nearby station at Grand. A free bus shuttle will operate between the Chicago and Grand stations.

The #56 Milwaukee buses are also available as alternate service to reach Grand station, downtown, or other destinations along the Blue Line.

This work is part of the CTA's Your New Blue modernization program.


Boarding changes between Damen and Clark/Lake

From Fri, Jan. 3 at 10 p.m. to Mon., Jan. 6 at 4 a.m. 

Board and exit on the O'Hare-bound platform at the Division, Chicago and Grand stations. 

Trains in both direction will operate on the same track between Damen and Clark/Lake. 

This work is being performed to ensure safe operations along the Blue Line.
