Blue Line service changes through October 16

In giving notices about service changes, Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) says, "Be safe: wear a mask everywhere on CTA, make a space and keep your distance from others!" 

The CTA provides in depth information on their website about how they address COVIC-19 safety controls.

 

Boarding Change Between Cumberland and O’Hare 

For: Mon., Oct. 12 and Tues., Oct. 13
Nightly from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. next day

Board and exit all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at Rosemont station. 

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Cumberland and O’Hare, resulting in minor delays. Allow extra travel time. 

Boarding Change Between O’Hare and Cumberland

For: Wed., Oct. 14 and Thurs., Oct. 15
Nightly from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. next day 

Board/exit all trains on the O'Hare-bound side of the platform at Rosemont station. 

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between O’Hare and Cumberland, possibly resulting in minor delays. Allow extra travel time. 

In both cases, the work being done is for signal maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Blue Line.
