Blue Line weekend service interruptions

Blue Line riders to and from O'Hare, between Friday night and Monday morning, will have disruption to their travels  between Jefferson Park and Harlem, according to the Chicago Transit Authorities.

Starting at 10 p.m. Fri., June 7, until 4 a.m. Mon., June 9, free bus shuttle service will be provided between Jefferson Park and Harlem stations. Thus travelers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Signal work will be underway in this stretch of tracks as part of the $492 million Your New Blue (YNB) program. Considered the largest investment in the Blue Line since it was extended to O’Hare International Airport 30 years ago, Your New Blue is modernizing and improving stations along this popular line as well as making track and signal system improvements to increase service reliability for customers.
